 David B. Eaton | David B. Eaton is a principal and the President of Eaton Partners, Inc. David manages the Commercial Mortgage and Advisory Groups for the company, with a practice concentrated on commercial real estate finance, project development and advisory services.
David is a lifelong resident of New Hampshire and studied Business and Accounting at Suffolk University and New Hampshire College (now Southern New Hampshire University). His real estate background in excess of 25 years is very diverse with experience in the sale, development, management and finance of residential, commercial, retail and industrial properties.
David has received the acknowledgment of his peers as a commercial real estate expert by virtue of being awarded both the prestigious and internationally recognized CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and CRE (Counselor of Real Estate) designations. The CCIM designation was awarded in 1985 and is bestowed by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute to experienced real estate professionals who complete over 200 hours of advanced study culminating in a nationally administered exam. The CRE designation was awarded in 1991 and is bestowed by the Counselors of Real Estate to real estate advisors who are invited to be members based upon their experience and reputation in the area of real estate counseling. He has served as President of the New England CCIM Chapter and as Vice President for the Northeast CCIM Region. He was the first real estate professional in Northern New England to have achieved both the CCIM and CRE designations. David also maintains membership in the Mortgage Bankers and Brokers Association of New Hampshire and the national Mortgage Bankers Association.
David provides advisory and commercial loan placement services to corporate real estate users, financial institutions and individual investors throughout the Northeast. He has substantial experience in the restructure and resolution of non performing loans, having advised a regional lender over a 4 year period on the restructure, sale and management of a $250 million loan portfolio. As a financial intermediary he has been instrumental in the placement of over $500 million of commercial mortgage debt. David has served as a court appointed receiver and trustee in bankruptcy, as an expert witness in State and Federal Court, and is a recognized authority on the subject of real estate due diligence, on which he has lectured nationally.
David is currently a member of the City of Manchester Planning Board, a member of the Loan Review Committee for the City of Manchester Revolving Loan Fund and a Trustee of the Camp Carpenter Trust. He has also been active with the Greater Manchester Big Brothers and Big Sister's charity as a Board of Director and its President. David is a 10 + year member of the Editorial Review Board of Commercial Investment Real Magazine and authors a monthly article on commercial real estate topics for the New Hampshire Business Review. He enjoys golf, boating and fi shing as hobbies, and currently serves as a Board of Director for the Manchester Country Club.
